The Hine Documentary Fellowship of the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University grants documentarians the opportunity to develop work in collaboration with youth-focused humanitarian organizations internationally.

As a Fellow, since September of 2007 I have been working with Roca, Inc. a social justice organization located in Chelsea, Massachusetts.  My involvement with the organization is mainly dedicated to Roca’s Immigrant and Refugee Initiative (RIRI).   As a Fellow, I carry out documentary work exploring different aspects of the Central American immigrant experience,  assist RIRI in the creation of educational materials for their outreach campaigns, and create collaborative projects with immigrant youth that seek to aid individuals in their personal development and in the realization of their goals.
